Exhibition, Performance, and Experience Events Held at Anseong Matchum Land Lawn Plaza
On the occasion of World Environment Day (June 5), Anseong City in Gyeonggi Province will hold the "17th San-naedeul Green Anseong Environment Festival" on the 1st of next month at the Anseong Matchum Land Lawn Plaza to reflect on the importance of environmental conservation and to practice carbon neutrality.

Under the theme "Restoring Soil Health, Drought Resilience, and Mitigating Desertification Progress," the event will feature a ceremony commemorating Environment Day, as well as ▲an environmental drawing contest awards ceremony ▲a traditional Korean music (Gugak) performance ▲an environment and recycling OX quiz. In particular, attendees can also participate in a painting reform experience using clothes, bags, and shoes they no longer wear.
Kim Bora, Mayor of Anseong, said, "I hope this festival will serve as a catalyst for reflecting on the importance of environmental conservation and for taking small actions toward it."
Meanwhile, since last month, Anseong City has prohibited the bringing in and use of disposable cups and containers at city hall and affiliated public institutions to reduce social costs and environmental pollution caused by the production and disposal of single-use items.
