The prosecution has indicted a man in his 70s on charges of killing his wife by swinging a blunt weapon while intoxicated.
On the 24th, the Criminal Division 3 of the Seoul Eastern District Prosecutors' Office (Chief Prosecutor Kim Hee-young) announced that Mr. A, who is charged with murder, was indicted under detention the previous day.
Mr. A struck his wife's head multiple times with a blunt weapon during a marital quarrel around 9 p.m. on the 29th of last month, causing her death.
A prosecution official stated, "We will do our best to ensure that the suspect receives a sentence commensurate with the crime," adding, "We will respond strictly to violent crimes that threaten the lives and safety of the public."
