Cultivating Green Habits in My Daily Life: Various Program Operations
The National Institute of Biological Resources in the Honam Region, under the Ministry of Environment (Director Ryu Tae-cheol), announced on the 24th that it will operate free biological resource education during the 3rd Environmental Education Week for seven days from July 5 to 11, in celebration of 'World Environment Day' on June 5.
Now in its third year, Environmental Education Week will be held nationwide under the slogan "Good to learn, enjoy, and share," offering events where the public can learn, enjoy, and share environmental education together.

The Honam Region Biological Resources Institute will offer free programs to the public under the theme "Cultivating Green Habits in My Daily Life," including △ Visiting Environmental Classes That Change the Earth △ Family Environmental Classes That Change the Earth △ and the Saengmul Toktok Online Classroom program.
The "Visiting Environmental Classes That Change the Earth" is a demand-tailored program operated since 2022, designed to visit schools directly to provide more students with opportunities to take an interest in environmental education.
Additionally, on June 6 (Memorial Day), and the weekend of the 8th and 9th, educational programs will be offered both online and at the institute, allowing the whole family to participate and discover green habits they can practice together in their daily lives.
Applications for participation can be submitted by schools and organizations through official documents after scheduling with the institute's staff, while individuals and families can apply online via the National Institute of Biological Resources Honam Region integrated reservation system. An education official from the National Institute of Biological Resources Honam Region stated, "We hope that the operation of Environmental Education Week will serve as an opportunity for citizens to learn green habits for the Earth in their daily lives and to recognize the importance of carbon neutrality and environmental conservation."
