This activity was jointly planned by both organizations to express gratitude to the veterans and their families in Namhae County, taking the opportunity of Family Month and the upcoming Patriots and Veterans Month.

On the first day of the event, the Namhae ship invited about 70 members of the Namhae County Veterans Association to the Navy's Jinhae Base for a tour of the naval port. To foster mutual understanding of maritime security and activate exchanges for mutual development, they visited four key naval sites, including the Namhae ship itself and the former presidential villa of Syngman Rhee.

On the second day, about 20 crew members of the Namhae ship, including the captain, visited various locations throughout Namhae County. In the morning, they visited the exhibition hall dedicated to the legacy of Korean War and Vietnam War veterans from Namhae County.

In particular, the crew members viewed vivid historical materials from the time of the veterans' service, reflecting on the life stories of Namhae County's veterans. Through this, they deeply felt the horrors of war and reaffirmed their commitment to defending their country.

Afterward, they visited the home of a Vietnam War veteran in Namhae-eup and the home of a Korean War veteran in Gohyeon-myeon, Namhae County, to express their gratitude and assisted both families with the garlic harvest.

In the afternoon, they met with the Namhae County Mayor and other officials at the Namhae County Office, strengthening their bond and pledging that both organizations would continue to be 'reliable supporters' for each other in the future.

Namhae ship captain Yeom Hongseop (Major) said, "This was our first visit to Namhae County since establishing our sisterhood relationship. In the future, the Namhae ship will actively communicate and cooperate wherever our help is needed in Namhae County, so that we can grow together."
