Overly Edited Wedding Photo Studio Ads Posted
Netizens Divided Over the Photos
An advertisement photo from a wedding photography company that excessively retouched images using Photoshop has become a hot topic online. On the 24th, various online communities posted a photo and a post titled "Recent Level of Wedding Photo Retouching." The author, Mr. A, criticized the photo, saying, "I don't understand what the meaning of wedding photos is if they do this," and added, "It's almost like a painting has been drawn."
The photo revealed by Mr. A shows retouching notes such as "double chin correction," "trapezius muscle reduction," "collarbone line creation," "slim arm line," "thin fingers," and "correcting tilted body posture," comparing the original photo and the retouched photo, transforming the actual subjects’ appearances as if they were different people.
Netizens commented on the photo, saying, "It looks like they just took photos of different people," "You can't trust wedding photos and body profiles," "Guests might think they came to the wrong venue," and "No matter how advanced photo retouching is, please have some conscience when photoshopping," pointing out the large gap from reality. On the other hand, some opinions included, "It's just self-satisfaction," "It's a day when everyone can be happy and joyful together, so is it really necessary to treat this like a crime and mock it?" and "Before complaining about this photo, look at your own ID photo first."
