Yang Yun-ho, Chairman of the Korea Film Association, and Han Sang-jun, former Executive Director of the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival, were appointed as new non-standing members of the Korean Film Council.
On the 24th, Yoo In-chon, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, appointed two non-standing members of the Korean Film Council and presented their appointment letters, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced on the same day.

This appointment follows the expiration of the terms of two existing members (including one chairman and one member). The newly appointed members will serve a three-year term from this day until May 23, 2027.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism stated that it appointed the new members by carefully considering various factors in a balanced manner, including recommendations from film-related organizations, expertise and insight in film arts and the film industry, as well as experience and leadership in academia and the field.
