Guro-gu Recruiting Participants for 2nd Security Guard Employment Support Program

Guro-gu (Mayor Moon Heon-il) will recruit 63 participants on a first-come, first-served basis for the 2nd Security Guard Employment Support Program targeting Guro-gu residents aged 40 and over, starting from the 27th of this month.

The Security Guard Employment Support Program is designed to support middle-aged and older job seekers in the district, who have a high demand for security guard jobs, by enabling them to complete the general security guard training required for employment and subsequently providing job placement assistance.

Participants will receive theoretical lessons such as the Security Business Act and Crime Prevention Theory, as well as practical training including equipment usage and escort security practice, at the Seogang Vocational Training School Police Security Hall from June 21 to 23 (9 AM to 6 PM). The costs required for the training will be covered by the district office.

Those who wish to participate can apply by visiting the Guro-gu Office Job Center, and for further details, inquiries can be made to the Job Center.

Mayor Moon Heon-il of Guro-gu said, “We hope many middle-aged and older adults seeking reemployment will participate in this program,” and added, “We will continue to monitor job market trends and strive to support residents in obtaining the jobs they desire.”

Last year, Guro-gu’s Security Guard Employment Support Program saw all 148 participants complete the course, with 110 of them successfully gaining employment.
