On the afternoon of the 23rd, Choi Ho-gwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, attended the opening ceremony of the first cultural city hub space, ‘Munhwa Lounge Ddadatta,’ located in Times Square Plaza (196 Mullae-ro).
At the opening ceremony, including Choi Ho-gwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, members of the Yeongdeungpo Cultural Foundation board, and the Cultural City Committee gathered to celebrate the inauguration of the newly established cultural space.
‘Ddadatta’ is inspired by the image of children energetically playing with trumpets in the neighborhood, symbolizing a space for sharing diverse voices and cultural news. This space features various cultural enjoyment areas where visitors can feel and experience the cultural city of Yeongdeungpo, serving as a communication hub connecting residents and local artists with culture.
Choi Ho-gwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, stated, “Munhwa Lounge Ddadatta will establish itself as a cultural mecca leading Yeongdeungpo culture beyond local culture.” He added, “Starting with this space, we will create a cultural production city in Yeongdeungpo where everyday life becomes culture through generous support for residents and local artists.”
