Strengthening Accessibility to Early Dementia Screening through Business Agreement Signing
Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do, has signed a business agreement with the Dementia Safety Center and Gil Mental Health Clinic (Director Oh Jong-gil) to conduct early dementia screening in the region.
According to the county on the 23rd, the Dementia Safety Center has had a business agreement with Haenam Woori General Hospital since 2018, and with this new agreement, the total number of affiliated hospitals has become two.

The county expects that expanding the affiliated institutions will increase accessibility to dementia screening for local residents, allowing convenient use and efficient management of high-risk dementia groups.
When undergoing tests in connection with the affiliated hospitals, those with a standard median income of 120% or less can receive up to 150,000 KRW for diagnostic tests and up to 80,000 KRW for differential tests. Applications can be made through the Jindo-gun Dementia Safety Center.

Park Jin-soon, head of the Jindo-gun Public Health Center, stated, “We hope that the expansion of affiliated medical institutions will reduce the personal and social burdens of dementia even a little,” and added, “We will do our best for the early detection of dementia patients in the region and the healthy lives of the residents.”
