Jeongeup-si Supports 'Detailed Developmental Disability Testing Fees for Infants and Toddlers'

The support targets infants and toddlers who were recommended for 'in-depth evaluation' in the developmental assessment following their infant health checkup. Those receiving basic livelihood security benefits or belonging to the lower-income bracket can receive up to 400,000 KRW, while those enrolled in health insurance can receive up to 200,000 KRW for the test fees.

The support period is within one year from the date of the health checkup. Applicants must undergo the detailed developmental test within this period and apply to the health center by the first half of the following year (end of June) in which the detailed test was conducted.

A city official stated, "We will observe the developmental status of infants and toddlers through health checkups and contribute to reducing the prevalence of disabilities by linking infants and toddlers diagnosed with developmental disabilities to rehabilitation treatment projects for children with disabilities."
