Yangsan ICD Resident Companies Hold 'Serious Accident Prevention Forum'

Yangsan Branch of Ministry of Employment and Labor and Gyeongnam Eastern Branch of Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency Co-host Event

The Yangsan Branch of the Ministry of Employment and Labor (Branch Manager Kwon Guhyung) and the Eastern Gyeongnam Branch of the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency (Branch Manager Kim Pangki) held a 'Safety and Health Forum for the Prevention of Serious Accidents' on the 22nd together with companies located in Yangsan ICD.


At the forum, about 20 representatives and managers from companies based in Yangsan ICD attended to learn about policy directions related to the establishment and implementation of a safety and health management system for the prevention of serious accidents, and to discuss current issues in industrial safety, such as accident cases in the logistics and warehousing sectors.


The Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency have been operating the Safety and Health Forum throughout the year since the launch ceremony on March 22, providing a platform for communication, learning, sharing, and dissemination of safety and health know-how.


Kwon Guhyung, Branch Manager, emphasized, "Due to the nature of their businesses, many workers at companies located in Yangsan ICD are in special employment types and are easily exposed to various risk factors during processes such as receiving, loading, and transporting. The establishment and implementation of a safety and health management system is essential to prevent accidents and serious disasters."
