This gift package sharing initiative is part of Korea National Oil Corporation's efforts to support underprivileged neighbors facing difficulties and to promote a culture of sharing. The program has been carried out for the past five years to encourage consumption at traditional markets and revitalize the local economy.

In October 2019, the corporation signed a sisterhood agreement with the Taehwa General Market Merchants Association and has been delivering packages to underprivileged neighbors every year since 2020.

Employees of the corporation and the Taehwa General Market Merchants Association selected 12 items, including beef bone soup and sesame oil, taking into account the preferences of the elderly, and prepared the packages. In particular, this year, considering rising prices, the jointly prepared amount by labor and management was increased by 50% compared to the previous year, making the packages even more generous.

A representative from Korea National Oil Corporation said, "Labor and management worked together on this initiative with the hope that these packages will provide support to neighbors and small business owners facing economic difficulties in this era of high prices and high interest rates, and also help promote the consumption of local agricultural and marine products."

In addition, the corporation continues to carry out various social contribution activities for underprivileged groups in the region, such as supporting low-income multicultural families, providing scholarships to middle and high school students, and offering vocational training for students with disabilities.
