Boryeong City Wins Grand Prize for Promoting Women's Economic Activities

Recognition of Niche Job Creation for Career-Interrupted Women and Middle-Aged Workers

Boryeong City in Chungnam received the grand prize at the Women's Economic Activity Promotion Awards ceremony on the 22nd.

The Korea Women's Workforce Development Center Federation selects and awards local governments and local council members who have contributed to promoting women's economic activities through policies and projects.

The city was recognized for discovering niche jobs for career-interrupted women and middle-aged groups through the "Local Women Customized Job Creation Project" operated by the Boryeong Women's Workforce Development Center.

Mayor Kim Dong-il said, "Boryeong is a representative women-friendly city, taking the lead in enhancing women's welfare, improving convenience in daily life, and supporting social activities," adding, "We will strive to expand women's economic and social participation."
