Pyeongtaek City Recruiting College Student Summer Vacation Administrative Interns

A Total of 120 People Selected Over Two Terms

Pyeongtaek City in Gyeonggi Province is recruiting 'Summer Vacation University Student Administrative Interns' who will work at public institutions such as the city hall, branch offices, and eup/myeon/dong administrative welfare centers starting from the 27th.

The internship program will recruit a total of 120 students in two sessions, with 60 students per session. The working periods are ▲ Session 1: July 2 to 26 ▲ Session 2: August 5 to 30. The city will prioritize 20% of the recruitment quota per session for basic livelihood security recipients, low-income groups, persons with disabilities, and national merit recipients.


Applicants must be university students or on leave, aged 34 or younger, who are registered residents of Pyeongtaek City as of the announcement date (27th) until the registration of selected candidates, or registered as marriage immigrants (F-6) or permanent residents (F-5) in the foreigner registration ledger of Pyeongtaek City.


Those interested can apply through the Pyeongtaek City Hall website from the 27th until the 7th of next month. The city will select candidates through an electronic lottery on the 13th of next month and announce the results on the city hall website the following day. Selected interns will work 7 hours a day, 5 days a week, and will be paid according to the 2024 Pyeongtaek City living wage (hourly wage of 11,040 KRW).


A city official stated, "This administrative internship program will provide university students with an opportunity to gain diverse social experiences through workplace exposure at public institutions during their vacation and to enhance their proper understanding of city administration."
