Enhancing Civil Servants' Legal Understanding
Program Established to Improve Legislative Work Competence
Sacheon City, South Gyeongsang Province, announced on the 22nd that it held the "2024 First Half Legislative Tour Training" organized by the Ministry of Government Legislation for about 100 of its employees in the city hall's main conference room.
This tour training was prepared to enhance the overall legal understanding of public officials and to cultivate their legislative work capabilities. It was hosted by the Ministry of Government Legislation and organized by Sacheon City.
On this day, expert instructors from the Ministry of Government Legislation, including Park Uijoon from the Legislative Review Support Team, Kim Hyeongdo from the Legislative Education Division, and Lee Dongjin from the Local Legislation Drafting Support Division, provided easy-to-understand and detailed explanations, dividing the training into basic and case study sections of practical administrative law.
The basic section covered the legal principles that public officials must observe in their duties, while the case study section dealt in depth with various legal issues that may arise in the course of their work through case-based learning.
In particular, the training received positive feedback from participants as it focused on practical application, combining real-life cases that can be immediately used in the field with related theory.
The city has also been making efforts to provide reliable administrative services by strengthening the competencies of public officials, such as by conducting legislative training for all employees last year.
Heo Haeyeon, Public Relations and Audit Officer, said, "We hope that this training will enhance the legislative work capabilities of public officials and enable us to provide better administrative services to citizens through the correct interpretation and application of laws and regulations."
