SK C&C Launches Factory-Customized AI Predictive Maintenance Service... Real-Time Analysis of Anomaly Signs

SK C&C announced on the 22nd that it will provide a 'customized comprehensive AI predictive maintenance service for manufacturing factories' based on its manufacturing-specialized artificial intelligence (AI) integrated digital factory platform, 'iFacts.'

The iFacts AI predictive maintenance service is an AI hyper-automation service completed by consolidating predictive maintenance systems based on machine and equipment data built in domestic and international manufacturing industries, as well as production process operation experience and know-how.

The AI, trained on the operating status of machines and equipment for each production process, identifies and notifies the causes of machine failures and equipment breakdowns that affect product production and quality, supporting stable operation of machines and equipment.

SK C&C has integrated predictive maintenance service (PPdM) and fault detection service (FDC), which apply digital automation technology and AI fusion on the iFacts platform.

PPdM detects vibrations occurring in manufacturing factory equipment through sensors and transmits the data to the cloud via LTE (4th generation mobile communication) wireless network, where AI analyzes abnormal signs by component in real time and notifies users. FDC, developed for process systems and machinery and equipment, detects and classifies various errors and faults that may occur in various systems and machines in advance, helping to carry out maintenance effectively.

SK C&C stated that domestic steel, chemical, energy, semiconductor, battery, and material companies that recently introduced iFacts AI predictive maintenance have seen effects such as reducing response time to unexpected equipment stoppages and regular equipment and machine inspection and maintenance time by more than half compared to before.

SK C&C also provides customized digital factory consulting through its comprehensive digital consulting subsidiary, Accerton Partners. Through this, optimal plans for introducing AI predictive maintenance services across all production processes can be prepared, and support for implementing hyper-automation throughout the factory can be received.
