Ascon specialist company SG announced on the 22nd that it has filed patents for Eco Steel Ascon in India and Indonesia.
The patents filed this time pertain to the technology of "Production of Steelmaking Slag Aggregate and Manufacturing Method of Steelmaking Slag Asphalt Concrete Mixture." Eco Steel Ascon made from steelmaking slag is SG's eco-friendly product that replaces natural aggregates used in conventional Ascon manufacturing with by-products of steel production.
India and Indonesia, where the patent applications were filed, are currently promoting large-scale national infrastructure projects. India is implementing the 100 trillion rupee (approximately 1,639 trillion KRW) "Gati Shakti National Master Plan (PMGS-NMP)" to solve its insufficient infrastructure problems. Indonesia is carrying out the project to relocate its capital from Jakarta to Nusantara, with a project scale of 34 billion USD (approximately 46 trillion KRW).
SG expects high demand for its Eco Steel Ascon during the progress of these large-scale projects. Eco Steel Ascon is gaining attention as an eco-friendly Ascon because it does not use natural aggregates, and it has high strength and strong durability, making it suitable for infrastructure construction such as capital relocation. In particular, it has excellent noise and fine dust reduction effects and secures economic efficiency with shorter construction time compared to conventional Ascon.
A company official stated, "Starting with the Ukraine reconstruction project, we are promoting entry into new markets focused on countries with active infrastructure investment," adding, "Through winning large-scale overseas projects, we will restructure our business model centered on domestic demand and achieve remarkable quantitative growth."
