Priority Support for Job-Creating Excellent Companies Targeting 400 Employees of Small and Medium Enterprises in Guro-gu
Guro-gu (Mayor Moon Heon-il), in collaboration with the Seoul Business Agency (SBA), is promoting the 'Small and Medium-sized Enterprise Workation (work+vacation) Support Project' targeting 400 employees of SMEs located in Guro-gu.
The Small and Medium-sized Enterprise Workation Support Project is a new form of remote work that allows employees to enjoy work and vacation simultaneously.
Now in its second year, the project is carried out through cooperation between Guro-gu, the Seoul Business Agency, and related local organizations. The district supports 100,000 KRW per participating employee, with additional funding provided through partnerships among the Seoul Business Agency, local collaborative organizations, and SMEs.
Participating employees receive a comprehensive workation program that includes accommodation, office space, and local experience programs. The program can be utilized flexibly for capacity-building training, short lectures, seminars, and other purposes tailored to the company's needs, making it highly favored by businesses.
Last year, 149 employees from 25 companies received support for a 3-night, 4-day workation program.
The support targets SMEs located in Guro-gu with verifiable business sites such as headquarters, branches, research centers, or factories, and up to 100 employees per company can apply.
From this year, Guro-gu will recruit participating companies throughout the year.
Priority support will be given to companies recognized for excellent job creation in 2022?2023, aiming to establish a sustainable job creation foundation.
Companies wishing to participate can check the regional workation program details on the Seoul Enterprise Workation website, gather the number of applicants, and submit the relevant documents to the Seoul Business Agency to apply.
After submitting the application, the company burden fee must be paid to confirm support. A Guro-gu official stated, "We will continue to develop various measures to contribute to the welfare improvement and employment stability of SME workers in the region," and added, "We encourage many interested companies and stakeholders to participate."
