On the same day, the government, at a Cabinet meeting presided over by Prime Minister Han Deok-soo, passed a proposal to request reconsideration of the 'Special Prosecutor Act concerning allegations of external pressure in the investigation of the Marine Corps soldier Chae Sang-byeong's death.'
