Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, and Cho Kuk, leader of the Innovation Party, along with other opposition lawmakers, held a joint press conference with civil society on the 21st at the National Assembly condemning the request for reconsideration of the 'Special Prosecutor Act for Chae Sang-byeong.' On the same day, the government, at the Cabinet meeting presided over by Prime Minister Han Duck-soo, passed a resolution to request reconsideration of the 'Special Prosecutor Act on the Investigation Interference Allegations in the Death Case of Marine Chae Sang-byeong.'
