Sinan-gun School - Seoul French School & Javier International School
Shinan-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Park Woo-ryang) announced on the 21st that it held two meetings for educational cooperation with Bigeum Elementary School, Bigeum Middle School, Dochodo High School, Seoul French School, and Javier International School.
These meetings were organized to broaden students' international perspectives and provide various educational experiences.
The first meeting took place on the 11th at the 2nd floor of the Bigeumdo Cheonil Salt Multipurpose Center, where the '2024 Shinan Sham-mak Art Festival' was held, with principals from each school in attendance.

During the meeting, in-depth discussions were held to promote joint educational projects such as Shinan-gun’s Baduk experience, salt-making experience, Ganggangsullae program, as well as learning French and experiencing French culture.
The second meeting was held on the 17th at the 50th anniversary ceremony of Seoul French School, where congratulatory remarks were delivered, and meaningful time was spent exploring the school and sharing educational programs with Seoul French School students.
Governor Park Woo-ryang stated, “The signing of this Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) will be an important opportunity to understand the educational systems and cultures of various countries and provide students with a broader perspective. We will actively support continuous cooperation so that students can grow internationally.”
This agreement is expected to be finalized after in-depth consultations among the schools. Through this, it is anticipated that an international educational environment will be created for Shinan-gun students, providing opportunities to experience a wider world and strengthening their capabilities in the international community.
Meanwhile, Seoul French School conducted a preliminary survey of the Bigeumdo area in Shinan-gun on the 14th and 15th of last month, and visited Shinan-gun three times, including attending the ‘100+4 Piano Island Festival’ held in the Jaeundo area on the 27th and the ‘2024 Shinan Sham-mak Art Festival’ on the 11th, showing great interest in cultural and artistic exchanges.
Through these meetings, educational exchanges between Shinan-gun, Seoul French School, and Javier International School are expected to become more active.
