On the 21st, Kyungnam University participated in the "Hometown Love Donation Program," which aims to foster a healthy donation culture and revitalize the local economy.
All faculty and staff voluntarily joined together with warm hearts, hoping for the mutual growth of the university and the region and for the further spread of the hometown love donation culture.
President Park Jaekyu stated, "Kyungnam University has recently been recognized for its bold and ambitious innovation in realizing the digital transformation of the Changwon National Industrial Complex, as evidenced by being selected for the '2024 Glocal University Preliminary Designation' with its innovation plan for nurturing digital convergence talent and establishing a digital ecosystem in the region."
He added, "As we faithfully fulfill our role as a 'hub' for joint development and cooperation among local industries, academia, and research institutes, and focus on securing sustainable growth engines for the region, I hope the Hometown Love Donation Program, which aims to revitalize the local economy, will be successfully established."
Shim Sangcheol, Head of the Tax Administration Division of Gyeongsangnam-do, responded, "I deeply appreciate President Park Jaekyu and the faculty and staff of Kyungnam University for participating in the Hometown Love Donation Program. I hope this program will serve as a precedent for the joint growth of the region and universities and become widely known to many universities in the province."
