On the 21st, the Korea Organ and Tissue Donation Agency announced that Yang Jaeyoung (53), who had been a tenor with the Seoul Metropolitan Chorus for 10 years, donated his liver and right kidney to two people through brain-dead organ donation at Kangbuk Samsung Hospital and passed away. On the 3rd of last month, Yang suddenly collapsed after rehearsing at the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts in Seoul for a performance scheduled the next day. He was rushed to the hospital but never regained consciousness and fell into a brain-dead state.

The bereaved family decided to donate, comforted by the thought that 'a part of the donor's body continues to breathe in the world with someone else' and hoping that the deceased would leave behind a good deed of saving lives at the end of his life. They added that they hope many people will remember the donor who collapsed a day before the long-prepared performance and loved music until the very end of his life.

The deceased was 'a person who loved music until the end of his life.' Yang, who discovered his talent in a high school male chorus, embarked on a musical path and was actively involved as a church choir conductor and a member of the Seoul Metropolitan Chorus. The family said Yang "was sensitive and caring to those around him, always putting his family first."

Yang’s younger brother, Yang Seungyoung, said, "Brother, what were you so curious about that you left for heaven first?" He added, "We said when we die, we go to heaven. Be happy with grandma and mom whom you love. We will meet again in heaven. I love you and miss you," delivering his final farewell.
