Buk-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City has taken steps to support the successful social reintegration and independence of released prisoners.
According to Buk-gu on the 21st, a "Customized Financial Education for Released Prisoners" will be held from 3 PM to 5 PM in the lecture room of the Korea Rehabilitation Welfare Corporation.
The customized financial education for released prisoners is a new policy prepared by Buk-gu in collaboration with the Korea Inclusive Finance Agency and the Credit Counseling & Recovery Service as part of a project to support the independence of financially marginalized groups. It aims to provide tailored education on credit management to released prisoners facing economic difficulties, thereby establishing a stable foundation for their independence.
This education, conducted by a professional instructor from the Korea Inclusive Finance Agency, will cover various financial knowledge necessary for the economic recovery of released prisoners, including ▲credit diagnosis ▲credit management ▲debt management ▲understanding bankruptcy and rehabilitation systems ▲guidance on inclusive finance and debtor relief programs.
Buk-gu received positive feedback from participants in the first session of the customized financial education for released prisoners held in February and has prepared this second session. Furthermore, Buk-gu plans to continue quarterly education sessions to strengthen the support system for the independence of released prisoners.
