Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation (GH) has been finally selected in the 'Service Robot Demonstration Project' competition organized by the Korea Institute for Robot Industry Advancement (KIRIA) under the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.
The Service Robot Demonstration Project is a program that verifies the commercialization potential of robots at the stage just before commercialization by demonstrating them at demand sites to create domestic and international robot markets. Demand organizations and robot supply companies form a consortium to participate in the competition.
GH, in collaboration with 'Clobot,' a robot integrated system (SI) specialist company, will receive 160 million KRW in national funding to demonstrate a disinfection service model using robots and will introduce eight robots.
Utilizing these robots, GH will conduct activities such as ▲removal of new house syndrome ▲UVC-LED floor sterilization ▲air purification and plasma atmospheric disinfection in various spaces within the new office building, coinciding with the relocation to the Suwon Gwanggyo Gyeonggi Convergence Town office in June.
Kim Se-yong, President of GH, stated, "We expect to provide a safe and pleasant environment within the new office building through the introduction of robots equipped with disinfection and air purification functions," and added, "We hope that the success of GH's demonstration project will solidify its status as a smart office and lead to the spread of 4th industrial technology adoption within Gyeonggi Convergence Town."
