The environmental festival where children from all over the country gather, the 3rd Eco Green Day, was successfully concluded on the 18th at Ochang Lake Park in Cheongju, Chungbuk, with about 6,000 attendees.

Eco Green Day is a children's environmental festival co-hosted by EcoPro, headquartered in Ochang, Chungbuk, and Good Neighbors Chungcheong Regional Headquarters. It is held every May to raise awareness of the importance of the environment and encourage practical actions in daily life.

The main event of Eco Green Day, the children's drawing contest, was held with participants ranging from kindergarteners to elementary school students under the theme "The Future Earth Environment We Wish For." After fair judging by an external panel, 3 grand prize winners, 3 excellence award winners, 9 merit award winners, 15 encouragement award winners, and 40 special prize winners were selected, and a total of 70 children received certificates and monetary prizes.

The grand prize winners were Woo Seung-ah from Danjaecho Kindergarten in the kindergarten division, Lee Chae-ryeong, a 1st grader at Cheonan Elementary School in the lower elementary division (grades 1-3), and Kim So-yoon, a 5th grader at Pyeongtaek Cheonga Elementary School in the upper elementary division (grades 4-6). Each received a prize of 500,000 KRW and a certificate.

Kindergarten winner Woo Seung-ah was praised for conveying a message of harmony and coexistence through the theme "A Clean Earth Playing with Alien Friends from Space," depicting Earthlings and aliens playing together.

Lower elementary division winner Lee Chae-ryeong emphasized the serious environmental issues facing the Earth with the theme "Hot Earth! Boiling Earth!" Upper elementary division winner Kim So-yoon expressed hope for the restoration of the Earth's environment with the theme "Reviving a Clean Earth."

In addition to the children's drawing contest, various events and experiential programs that families could enjoy together were held. These included fire safety, magic shows, natural dyeing, making natural dehumidifiers, and creating personalized tumbler bags, attracting much interest from participating families.

CEO Song Ho-jun said in his welcoming speech, "I hope we can all work together to leave a pleasant environment for our children, who are our future," and added, "We will prepare even more substantial programs so that Eco Green Day can raise awareness of the importance of the environment."
