Gochang-gun, Jeollabuk-do recently announced on the 21st that it operated the 'Gochang-gun Integrated Guide Education Academy' for guides active in the area.
Gochang, a UNESCO World Heritage city, is home to seven UNESCO treasures and conducts guided tours for tourists throughout the city.

Cultural tourism guides, geopark guides, and natural environment guides provide explanations about Gochang's culture, geology, ecology, and history.
The training was conducted on-site at the Gochang mudflat and Ungok Wetland areas.
This training aimed to cultivate professional guides who deeply understand the world-recognized pristine natural environment and integrate knowledge of nature, culture, arts, and history.
Omisuk, head of the Tourism Industry Division of Gochang-gun, said, "Through this training, we hope the guides will play a role in presenting the charm of Gochang, a UNESCO World Heritage city, to visitors."
Gochang is designated as a biosphere reserve throughout the entire county, a UNESCO treasure, and features the World Cultural Heritage dolmens, the World Natural Heritage Gochang mudflat, the Global Geopark, intangible heritages such as Pansori and Nongak, and documentary heritage like the Donghak Peasant Movement.
