Dongbanwi-SL Gongsa, Sign Agreement for Second Consecutive Year
The Win-Win Growth Committee announced on the 21st that it has signed the '2024 Partner ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) Participation Agreement' with the Sudokwon Landfill Site Management Corporation (SL Corporation).
As a waste disposal agency, SL Corporation has proactively introduced ESG management amid strengthening global ESG regulations. SL Corporation plans to comprehensively support the enhancement of ESG capabilities of its partners by signing the agreement with the Win-Win Growth Committee for the second consecutive year.
This agreement was established to improve ESG management awareness and strengthen the capabilities of partner small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) for creating a sustainable supply chain. Based on the SME ESG standard guidelines developed by the Win-Win Growth Committee, ESG education and consulting will be provided for partners of large corporations and public institutions.
To implement the agreement, SL Corporation will contribute to the win-win cooperation fund and recruit and select participating partners. It will also support ESG education, diagnosis, and on-site inspection consulting for partners, spreading and expanding the know-how of public institutions in SME ESG management.
The Win-Win Growth Committee will continue support by publishing sustainability management reports for outstanding ESG SMEs. Excellent SMEs participating in the agreement can receive incentives such as preferential bank interest rates, participation in overseas market support projects, and research and development (R&D) support.
Park Chi-hyung, Director of Operations at the Win-Win Growth Committee, said, "Through collaboration with SL Corporation, we will actively support the establishment of a resource circulation system across the entire supply chain and the expansion of ESG management."
