A Man in His 40s Arrested for Producing and Distributing Obscene Materials at Seoul National University

A man who created and distributed obscene materials by synthesizing photos of female students' faces from the same school was arrested by the police.

According to the police on the 20th, the Cyber Investigation Unit of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency arrested Mr. A, a man in his 40s and a Seoul National University student, on charges of producing and distributing false videos.

Mr. A is accused of creating obscene materials by synthesizing photos of female students from Seoul National University, whom he had come to know over a long period attending the school, and distributing them via Telegram.

It is known that Mr. A obtained the victims' photos from social networking services (SNS) and used them in the crime.

The police are expanding the investigation to verify whether there are accomplices and to determine the exact number of victims.
