Jeonbuk Bank - Nong-eochon Gong Jeonbuk, ESG Management Practice Win-Win Cooperation 'Join Hands'

Joint Projects Including Honeybee Return Campaign... Creating Promotional Synergy

Jeonbuk Bank (President Baek Jong-il) and the Jeonbuk Regional Headquarters of Korea Rural Community Corporation (Head Lee Jung-moon) announced on the 20th that they have joined hands in win-win cooperation to practice ESG management at Jeonju Giji Reservoir on the 'World Bee Day' designated by the United Nations (UN).


According to Jeonbuk Bank and the Jeonbuk Regional Headquarters of Korea Rural Community Corporation, the memorandum of understanding signed on this day aims to achieve the public interest purpose of fulfilling social responsibility and contributing to regional development through mutual exchange, creating new value and synergy in ESG management and social contribution fields.

Attending the signing ceremony were Lee Jung-moon, Head of Jeonbuk Regional Headquarters of Korea Rural Community Corporation; Park Sung-jin, Head of Farmland Bank Management Department; Lee Kwang-hee, Head of Jeonju-Wanju-Imsil Branch; Go Kyung-hoon, Head of Water Resources Department; Park Sung-hoon, Vice President of Jeonbuk Bank; Choi Kang-sung, Head of Regional Win-win Department; Cheon Hyun-kyung, Head of Chamber of Commerce Branch; Yoo Jin-seok, Head of Angol Branch; and Park Jong-sik, Head of Social Contribution and Public Relations Department.


Through this agreement, the two organizations will promote joint projects and collaborative efforts to create promotional synergy, including the 'Bee Return Campaign' by planting nectar plants such as rapeseed, creating a pleasant reservoir environment for citizens, and improving the multicultural residential environment in rural and fishing villages.


Vice President Park Sung-hoon said, "Amid various issues such as environment and welfare in the local community, we hope that a model of exemplary win-win cooperation will be established through collaboration between the two organizations," adding, "We will continue to carry out social contribution activities that fulfill our social responsibilities as a regional bank."
