Kori Nuclear Power Headquarters of KHNP Sponsors Two Youth Recovery Centers in Busan

Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Kori Nuclear Power Headquarters delivered a donation of 15 million KRW to two youth recovery centers in the Busan area at the Busan Family Court on the 17th.

Youth recovery centers serve as alternative homes that protect and nurture juveniles under protective disposition according to the Juvenile Act, and currently, there are five such centers operating in Busan. Among them, With Youth Recovery Center (Director: Jung Yeondu) and Raon Youth Recovery Center (Director: Kim Sangmin) are not receiving any government support.


On this day, Kori Nuclear Power Headquarters delivered a total donation of 15 million KRW, with 7.5 million KRW allocated to each center, in the presence of Park Chibong, Chief Judge of the Busan Family Court, officials from the Busan Community Chest of Korea, and others.


Kori Nuclear Power Headquarters has donated a total of 90 million KRW to youth recovery centers in the Busan area over the past seven years, from 2018 to this year, through the Dandelion Seed Fund, which is raised by voluntary contributions from employees.


Kori Nuclear Power Headquarters Director Lee Kwanghun stated, "We hope that protected juveniles can live in a better environment and grow into healthy members of society," adding, "Kori Headquarters will continue to participate in social contribution activities that support the dreams and futures of young people."
