Dongtan City Hospital Holds Regional Emergency Medical Council Meeting with Hwaseong Fire Station

Dongtan City Hospital announced that on the 9th, it held the 2nd quarter regional emergency medical council meeting (specialized hospital conference) with Hwaseong Fire Station in the conference room on the 5th floor of Dongtan City Hospital.

This specialized (small but strong) hospital conference was organized to establish a cooperative system for transporting emergency patients in cases of overcrowding of emergency medical institutions with mild and non-emergency patients within the jurisdiction, and when there is no specialist for specific diseases at emergency medical institutions.

The main topics included actively accepting mild patients to prevent gaps in transporting severe emergency patients, identifying difficulties faced by each hospital when accepting non-emergency patients and patients by disease, sharing the current status of medical institutions, and updating the emergency contact network (hotline) to seek improvements in the regional emergency medical system.

Kim Mi-young, Administrative Director of Dongtan City Hospital, stated, “Through this conference, Dongtan City Hospital will cooperate organically with Hwaseong Fire Station and do its best to improve the emergency patient transport system to minimize medical gaps in Hwaseong City.”
