The '2024 Gyeonggi Startup Hub Operation Exit (EXIT)' training program, jointly hosted and organized by the Korea VC Training Institute, the only venture capital (VC) specialized educational institution in Korea, and the Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency for prospective and early-stage entrepreneurs, will be held on the 30th.
The Korea VC Training Institute, affiliated with the Korea VC Association, operates over 40 courses including venture investment professional training programs and specialized courses aimed at enhancing the expertise of professionals active in the industry.
This training, under the theme of 'Basic Venture Capital Theory and Startup Fundraising Strategies,' aims to increase growth and investment attraction potential by strengthening investment expertise in promising companies within Gyeonggi-do. The curriculum consists of VC overview and major trends, understanding of the recently expanding public sector investment projects, startup fundraising strategies, legal and tax matters, and practical training and case studies necessary for startup fundraising. It also includes mentoring sessions with investment experts actively working in the industry to provide on-site advice and feedback.
Following last year, this training program, which supports the growth of companies located in Gyeonggi, features the transition of mentoring sessions from online to offline, expanding opportunities for direct feedback and networking.
The training targets prospective and early-stage entrepreneurs, employees, and university students in Gyeonggi-do who are interested in startups or exploring career paths. Successful applicants will be finalized at the end of this month after document screening.
Graduates who participated in last year’s training expressed high satisfaction, saying, "Through various mentoring sessions, we were able to establish future corporate investment strategy directions," and "We learned a lot from the investor’s perspective based on real cases."
This training will be conducted over two days starting on the 30th with online sessions, followed by offline mentoring on the 4th of next month. Applications can be submitted through the Gyeonggi Startup Platform website until the 21st.
