Three Workers Hospitalized After Inhaling Gas on Fishing Boat at Daecheon Port

At around 9:10 a.m. on the 20th, an accident occurred in which three people working on a fishing boat near Daecheon Port in Boryeong, Chungnam, inhaled gas.

The Boryeong Coast Guard rescue team, patrolling near Daecheon Port, heard screams and rescued three people, including Mr. A (in his 60s), who had lost consciousness and collapsed on the fishing boat, and transported them to the hospital.

The Coast Guard and fire authorities are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident, believing that Mr. A and others inhaled methane gas emitted from spoiled fish after entering the fish storage compartment on the fishing boat.
