Military Diplomatic Activities Conducted During Visit to the U.S. from 12th to 19th
General Park An-su, Chief of Staff of the Army, engaged in military diplomatic activities and discussed North Korean issues with senior ground force leaders of major countries.
The Army announced on the 20th that General Park officially visited the United States from the 12th to the 19th in conjunction with the Indo-Pacific Landpower Symposium (LANPAC).

On the 13th, General Park first met with General Randy George, Chief of Staff of the U.S. Army, at the U.S. Army Headquarters (Pentagon) to discuss ways to deepen exchanges and cooperation for preparing the future of the ROK-U.S. Army. The two chiefs reaffirmed the significance of the ROK-U.S. alliance and agreed to continue efforts at the Army level to realize a "global comprehensive strategic alliance," the Army reported.
Additionally, General Park attended a panel discussion at LANPAC held in Hawaii with General Charles Flynn, Commander of the U.S. Army Pacific, Lieutenant General Morishita Yasunori, Chief of Staff of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force, and Lieutenant General Simon Stuart, Chief of Army of Australia, to assess the recent security situation in the region. They also discussed measures to deter and respond to North Korea's nuclear and missile threats and multilateral security cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region.
An Army official stated, "Through this panel discussion, the four parties?ROK, U.S., Japan, and Australia?deeply recognized the importance of security cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region and agreed to gradually expand the fields and scope of multilateral exchanges and cooperation along with activating high-level exchanges."
