The Automotive Safety and Health Forum is a communication platform established to spread a safety culture and strengthen safety and health capabilities across the automotive industry, centered around the 'Safety Culture Practice Promotion Group' launched last year.

The Safety Culture Practice Promotion Group was founded last year to raise awareness of the importance of safety in industrial workplaces and daily life. It currently consists of a total of 34 government, local government, and private organizations. Kia joined the Gyeonggi region promotion group last year, and Hyundai Motor joined this year.

At the forum, Hyundai Motor and Kia announced plans to strengthen safety and health for automotive industry partner companies in the Gyeonggi region. They will provide practical support such as consulting from specialized institutions and supplying protective equipment, as well as open safety training courses for each company’s construction safety managers. They will also assist in securing safety capabilities by jointly preparing various legal documents and conducting construction site inspections.

Additionally, through various campaigns, they aim to raise safety and health awareness among members and establish programs to regularly check safety inspections and activities to prevent unforeseen safety accidents in advance. Furthermore, Hyundai Motor and Kia plan to hold regular forums to help partner companies effectively utilize the 'Industrial Safety Diagnosis' provided by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency, thereby fostering a safety culture.

A Hyundai Motor and Kia official stated, "Safety in industrial workplaces is a value more important than anything else, but relatively smaller partner companies face difficulties in acquiring information about systems and strengthening their capabilities. We will actively support all parties within the automotive industry to autonomously carry out safety and health activities."
