Kim Seong-hwan, CEO of Korea Investment & Securities, said this at the 'KIS Night in New York' held in New York, USA on the 16th (local time), emphasizing, "The answer lies in expanding into the global market, and today's event could be the first step in finding that answer."
Korea Investment & Securities participated in the ‘Invest K-Finance’ event jointly hosted by the Financial Supervisory Service and the Korea Exchange in New York on the 16th (local time), and held its own IR event, KIS Night.
This Korea Investment & Securities New York IR event was organized to discover investment opportunities in advanced financial markets and to interact with global investors. Approximately 100 people attended the event, including Lee Bok-hyun, Governor of the Financial Supervisory Service, Jung Eun-bo, Chairman of the Korea Exchange, as well as portfolio managers and analysts from local investment institutions.
Lee Bok-hyun, Governor of the Financial Supervisory Service, said, "Among domestic securities firms, Korea Investment & Securities is the most progressive in expanding its global business," adding, "The entry into the North American private bond market through ‘SF Credit Partners,’ established with Stepul, and the strategic partnership with Carlyle are being recognized as exemplary cases of global business."
Jung Eun-bo, Chairman of the Korea Exchange, said, "The ‘Corporate Value-Up Program,’ which financial authorities and market participants are closely cooperating to promote, aims to create an investor-friendly ecosystem," and added, "We will do our best for the future of the Korean capital market and the success of the program."
Korea Investment & Securities has strengthened its global business by establishing a Global Business Group earlier this year as part of its core business. ‘SF Credit Partners,’ established in 2023, is targeting the local acquisition finance and private debt (PD) markets in the United States.
In addition, based on strategic alliances with global financial companies such as Carlyle, the company is striving to discover excellent investment products.
