Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency partners with Naver Connect Foundation to provide visiting software education.
The Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency has signed a business agreement with the 'Naver Connect Foundation' to expand software (SW) education and nurture talent within the province.
According to the agreement signed in writing on this day, the two organizations will collaborate on projects including ▲ developing and spreading SW education programs to enhance the capabilities of instructors affiliated with SW Miraechaeum ▲ expanding opportunities for SW and AI education and culture ▲ planning and jointly operating projects to promote SW and AI.
The Naver Connect Foundation is a non-profit organization established in 2011 by Naver to transparently and professionally implement public interest educational projects. Under this agreement, it will provide its accumulated expertise in various software education areas, coding, AI, metaverse education programs, and the Juniverse School platform.
The Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency will strengthen the capabilities of 100 SW instructors to provide software visiting education services to elementary and middle schools in line with Gyeonggi-do's low birthrate policy.
Lim Moon-young, Executive Director of the Economic Division at the Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency, stated, "Through this business agreement, we expect to greatly contribute to nurturing SW talent in the province by enhancing the educational capabilities of the Gyeonggi SW Miraechaeum project. We will focus on increasing trainee satisfaction through continuous support."
The agency has been operating the 'Gyeonggi SW Miraechaeum Project' since 2020 with support from Gyeonggi-do and the Ministry of Science and ICT. This project aims to provide SW education to 40,000 youths in the province annually.
