Gumi City Holds Practical Training for Cheongbaek-e System Administrators
On the 17th, the city of Gumi, North Gyeongsang Province, held a practical training session on the 'Cheongbaek-e System' for about 70 employees in charge of accounting, non-tax revenue, and related tasks at the city hall's main auditorium.
'Cheongbaek-e' is an internal control system that monitors and issues alerts on administrative errors and signs of corruption by interlinking with administrative information systems such as local finance and non-tax revenue, thereby preventing administrative mistakes and public office corruption in advance.
The training was conducted by inviting a professional instructor from the Cheongbaek-e Operation Support Team of the Korea Local Information Research & Development Institute, focusing on practical aspects such as the main functions of the Cheongbaek-e system and work processing methods.
An official from Gumi City stated, "Along with a voluntary internal control system in which public officials participate themselves, we will strengthen proactive audits such as the 'pre-consulting system' to supplement the limitations of audits that focus on post-detection, and establish a clean and trustworthy public office culture by encouraging active administration."
