Dong-A University to Operate 'K-Move School US Global Expert Overseas Employment Program'

48 Selected for 4 Programs, Employment Support at Major Corporations in Key U.S. Cities

Dong-A University (President Lee Haewoo) is set to officially launch the '2024 K-Move School U.S. Global Specialist Overseas Employment Program,' supervised by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Human Resources Development Service of Korea.

Recently, Dong-A University held the '16th K-Move School U.S. Global Specialist Overseas Employment Program Job Camp' over two days at the Homers Hotel in Gwangalli.

This event included a special lecture on 'Understanding American Culture' by Consul Nolan Barkhouse from the U.S. Consulate in Busan, mentoring sessions with trainees currently working in the U.S., and special lectures on job matching and the visa issuance process.

Kim Dongsoo, CEO of Cloudnine Solution, a startup selected for Dong-A University's Pre-Startup Package, also gave a direct lecture on the U.S. healthcare system, addressing the participants' questions.

Through the '2024 K-Move School U.S. Global Specialist Overseas Employment Program,' Dong-A University selected a total of 48 participants for four specialized tracks this year?Design, Logistics and Trade, Technician, and Business?and will operate the domestic training program until November.

Students participating in the program will receive 650 hours of domestic training over seven months, covering native-level English conversation, English resume writing, English interview skills, visa preparation, and job-specific education. Afterward, they will work at major corporations and leading local companies in major U.S. cities such as New York and California, earning an annual salary of at least $36,000.

Since its inception in 2013, Dong-A University's K-Move program has been selected and operated for 12 consecutive years, with all four tracks receiving the highest A grade for five consecutive years. Dong-A University is the only institution nationwide to operate more than four programs, having received a total of approximately 5 billion KRW in government support and successfully placing over 500 students in jobs in the U.S.

As a result of actively running this and other overseas employment support programs, Dong-A University ranked first nationwide in the number of students employed overseas among all universities, according to the 2023 University Information Disclosure.
