Uljugun Implements HR and Welfare Policies for 'Happy Pregnancy and Childbirth' Employees

Workplace and Department Adjustment for Pregnant Employees, 500,000 Won Congratulations Points Provided

Ulsan Ulju County is implementing personnel and welfare policies to support employees' happy pregnancies and childbirth.

This policy is being promoted to expand support for pregnancy and childbirth among its employees, as low birth rates have emerged as a serious social issue.

In terms of personnel, pregnant employees who wish to do so will be assigned to work in towns or villages close to their residences to avoid inconvenience during commuting.

Additionally, employees will be promptly transferred to departments with lighter workloads to minimize work-related stress, and after maternity leave or parental leave, their preferred workplace will be given top priority when they return.

In the area of welfare, a new pregnancy congratulatory point system will be introduced, providing 500,000 KRW that can be used for purchasing childcare products and prenatal health management during pregnancy.

Since the beginning of this year, Ulju County has increased the childbirth welfare points to 1,000,000 KRW per child and provides up to 3,000,000 KRW per year for infertility treatment procedures.

County Governor Lee Soongul stated, "Through active support for employees during pregnancy and childbirth, we aim to double the joy of pregnancy and childbirth, and help create happy families by promoting work-life balance. We will do our best to overcome the low birth rate crisis by preparing various and practical policies that residents can truly feel."
