The 28th Bucheon Fantastic Film Festival (BIFAN) announced on the 20th that actress Son Ye-jin has been selected as this year's 'Actor Special Exhibition' honoree.
Since 2017, BIFAN has held special exhibitions for actors, selecting Jeon Do-yeon, Jung Woo-sung, Kim Hye-soo, Sol Kyung-gu, and Choi Min-sik in previous years, and this year chose Son Ye-jin as the main figure. This special exhibition will include the publication of a commemorative actor booklet, mega talks, and a photo exhibition.
Festival programmer Mo Eun-young stated, “Son Ye-jin is a representative 21st-century actor with a unique charm who has transcended stereotypes by covering various genres through films and dramas and building her own distinctive characters.” Son Ye-jin expressed her feelings, saying, “It is deeply moving to hold a special exhibition following respected seniors.”
Son Ye-jin has appeared in films such as Love Story (2002), The Classic (2003), A Moment to Remember (2004), Rules of Dating (2005), My Wife Got Married (2008), The Pirates (2014), No Secrets (2016), and The Last Princess (2016).
This year, BIFAN will be held from July 4 to 14 across Bucheon city.
