Doing Our Best to Complete Education, Pension, and Labor Reforms
Hwang Woo-yeo, Emergency Response Committee Chairman of the People Power Party, emphasized on the 20th, Coming-of-Age Day, regarding the National Pension, "We must complete pension reform so that the older generation bears more burden and the younger generation's shoulders are lighter."
Chairman Hwang stated at the Emergency Response Committee meeting held at the National Assembly that "by 2055, the fund is at risk of depletion."
Marking Coming-of-Age Day, Chairman Hwang said, "The third Monday, passing mid-May, is a national day to commemorate the young and vibrant youth becoming adults," adding, "I sincerely congratulate all young people who are becoming adults, transitioning from youth to respectable members of society and proud citizens of the Republic of Korea, taking on all rights and responsibilities with confidence, and I have great expectations."
He continued, "Our party will do its best to ensure the government's three major reforms?education, pension, and labor?are completed."

Regarding education reform, he explained, "Education is the most important factor for youth reaching adulthood and unfolding their careers and lives thereafter," adding, "Future-oriented reform is truly important."
On labor reform, he said, "Since labor reform is a core concern for youth becoming adults, I want to complete labor reform cleanly and present the three major reforms to the young people becoming adults."
Meanwhile, regarding the election of Heo Eun-ah as the Reform New Party leader, he conveyed congratulations and proposed, "I hope to cooperate and move forward in step with the People Power Party in all aspects."
About former leader Lee Jun-seok, he said, "I also send my sincere respect and affection to Leader Lee for his efforts so far."
