EVSIS, a subsidiary of Lotte Innovate, has taken a full-fledged step to target the North American market by participating in the largest clean transportation expo in North America, the ‘ACT Expo 2024 (Advanced Clean Transportation Expo 2024)’, following the establishment of its local corporation.
The ACT Expo, held from the 20th to the 23rd of this month (local time) in Las Vegas, USA, features about 400 companies including complete vehicle brands and electric vehicle charger manufacturers, showcasing over 200 types of electric and eco-friendly commercial vehicles.
EVSIS is the only domestic electric vehicle charger company participating, introducing high-quality chargers to the North American market and aiming to secure new global customers.
As EVSIS has designated 2024 as the inaugural year for global expansion, it will showcase cutting-edge electric vehicle charging technology for the global market at this exhibition.
EVSIS’s exhibited products include newly developed megawatt chargers and a full lineup of fast and ultra-fast chargers. The megawatt charger unveiled this time applies innovative charging technology that supplies power in megawatts (MW), surpassing the conventional kilowatt (kW) unit used in existing chargers. This enables rapid charging of medium and large vehicles such as trucks and freight vehicles, which typically require long charging times.
EVSIS’s megawatt charger features a 42-inch advertising display separated from the charging operation unit. This offers the advantage of providing various information even during charging. Additionally, it applies mobile cable management to make cable handling more convenient, enhancing not only technology but also customer usability.
Based on industry-leading technology, EVSIS provides customers with high-quality convenience services. Following last year’s top sales position in the domestic electric vehicle charger sector, EVSIS is advancing into the North American market, aiming to become a global electric vehicle charging infrastructure company.
Recently, EVSIS established its local corporation, EVSIS America, in California. California accounts for 40% of the entire U.S. electric vehicle market and has the highest electric vehicle adoption rate in the country. EVSIS America plans to focus on the fast charging business of 150 kW or higher, which has the greatest growth potential, and aims to continuously increase its market share in North America through aggressive marketing, targeting a 20% market share by 2030.
EVSIS America plans to complete preparations for all production lines in the first half of the year and launch full-scale operations across North America from the second half.
EVSIS has proactively obtained certifications such as Energy Star, NTEP, and CTEP for entry into the U.S. market ahead of other domestic companies, ensuring efficiency and quality. Furthermore, EVSIS is internalizing advanced new technologies such as V2G (Vehicle to Grid) and PnC (Plug & Charge). V2G technology connects electric vehicles and the power grid through chargers, allowing the use of remaining battery power and enabling electric vehicles to serve as energy storage devices. Applying PnC allows immediate charging by simply plugging in without complex procedures. Through research and development of such new technologies that enhance electric vehicle utilization, EVSIS plans to provide customers with even more advanced services.
