Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, stated on the 19th, "Recently, there may have been quite a few grievances and pains regarding the party, but where is a flower that blooms without shaking?" He added, "Please consider that my thoughts are right, and other thoughts that do not align with these are not wrong but simply different."

At the Chungcheong region party member conference held at the Daejeon Convention Center that afternoon, Lee said, "We are achieving a people's revolution or national revolution unprecedented in world history, but the road ahead is truly long." He continued, "There may be trial and error, and opinions may differ in phenomena we are witnessing for the first time, but even if we do not fully agree, shouldn't we overcome small differences and fill in what is lacking, holding hands to reach the one great goal we all share?"

He further urged, "If anyone thinks, 'I should leave the party to impose sanctions or to punish,' then stop paying party dues. It is very difficult to rejoin once you leave." He added, "It would be better if you say, 'At times like this, I will take more responsibility.'"

He emphasized, "The landslide victory in the general election was not a victory for the Democratic Party but a victory for the people and a defeat for the People Power Party, showing the people's will to judge the government through the election." He continued, "Going forward, through greater roles and more responsible attitudes, faithfully upholding the people's sovereignty and fulfilling expectations and responsibilities is the path to the next local elections, the next presidential election, and ultimately transforming this country into a nation of the people."

Lee said, "I believe that the Democratic Party's achievement of an election revolution through a nomination revolution in the general election was due to the power of party members." He added, "Let's double the number of party members, double their authority, and, through a party centered on its members, together build a country where the people are the owners."
