On the 18th, posts appeared on university student communities stating that the "Yonsei University dormitory 'Ujeongwon' building is tilting." It was reported that the floor of the self-kitchen (kitchen) located on the basement level 1 of the Ujeongwon building had lifted, causing the refrigerator to tilt. There were also posts mentioning that the shower room wall was warped.

Nevertheless, the school stated that there are no safety concerns. The floor tiles had simply lifted due to weakened adhesion between the tiles and the floor caused by aging. There were no cracks or deformations in the floor. The school has conducted annual safety inspections of all campus buildings through a professional safety inspection company, and the 2023 inspection also showed no abnormal findings. However, to alleviate students' concerns, the school promised to carry out a detailed safety inspection as soon as possible.

Despite the school's position, the Yonsei University Student Council has been operating a reporting window related to the structural safety of the Ujeongwon building since the 18th, gathering opinions and concerns from enrolled students. They stated, "Since the absolute safety of our fellow students must be guaranteed, we will prioritize this matter and continue to respond until all concerns of our fellow students are completely resolved."
