Choi Ho-gwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, attended the '21st Seoul Citizens Marathon for Pediatric Cancer Patients' held on the morning of the 19th at the Yeouido Hangang Park event plaza, delivering a message of hope to the children.
On this day, Mayor Choi Ho-gwon of Yeongdeungpo District, along with Lee Dong-yoon, Chairman of the Pediatric Cancer Patients Support Organizing Committee, attended the event. The marathon, under the slogan "Run for your neighbors one day a year!", was organized to bring hope to children battling severe illnesses.
Marking its 21st year, this year's event featured four categories: half marathon, 10km, 5km, and 10km walking. Mayor Choi signaled the start of the half marathon and enthusiastically applauded the participants.
Mayor Choi Ho-gwon of Yeongdeungpo District said, "I sincerely wish for the speedy recovery of the children and thank all the citizens who participated in this meaningful event," adding, "Please prioritize safety over fierce competition and enjoy a leisurely and happy time feeling the cool breeze."
