A young daughter was brought to tears after witnessing her mother, who works at a restaurant, being sexually harassed by a 'problematic' male customer.

On the 18th, JTBC's 'Sageon Banjang' reported on a sexual harassment incident that occurred on the 5th at a restaurant in Yeosu-si, Jeollanam-do. In the footage released by the broadcast, the victim, a Thai female employee identified as Ms. A, is seen delivering something to the table where the problematic customer was seated and then stepping back. At that moment, a man in his 60s wearing a blue jacket suddenly touched Ms. A’s chest with his right hand in an unexpected act. Startled, Ms. A recoiled, pushed the man’s hand away, and then struck his arm.

Despite this, the offending man remained seated as if nothing had happened, while his companions stood up and bowed to apologize to Ms. A on his behalf. Ms. A’s daughter, who had come to visit her mother’s workplace on Children’s Day, witnessed the entire scene from nearby. Afterwards, Ms. A filed a criminal complaint against the man for sexual harassment, but he claimed "he does not remember" and has been avoiding contact with the police.

The restaurant owner and whistleblower, Mr. B, said, "Ms. A is a Thai migrant woman, and it seems the perpetrator committed the act thinking she was an undocumented immigrant and would not report it." He added, "Ms. A’s daughter was deeply shocked and went home crying, and the victim is currently receiving psychiatric treatment."

Meanwhile, in March, another story surfaced about a disrespectful customer sexually harassing a female employee serving food at a restaurant. On March 17th, a post titled "An employee was sexually harassed" was uploaded to the self-employed community 'Apeunikka Sajangida' (Because It Hurts, I’m a Boss).

The author wrote, "After four male customers ordered food, while the hall staff was serving the dishes and placing food in the middle of the table, one man placed his left hand on the employee’s buttocks." The post included a CCTV capture of the incident. Upon learning of this, the business owner immediately reported it to the police, and the man who committed the sexual harassment was identified as 44 years old. The author added, "I was very shocked and care deeply for the employee, so I don’t know what to do going forward," and asked other netizens for advice on "the strongest way to reprimand him."
