Enjoy Local Festivals at Lotte Outlet... 'Lotter Market Season 2' Underway

Lotte Outlet announced on the 20th that it will hold the ‘Lotlocal Market’ event until the 30th of next month to help open sales channels for about 100 farms and revitalize local festivals.

‘Lotlocal Market’ is an event planned by Lotte Outlet to strengthen coexistence with local communities. It was first introduced during this year’s Lunar New Year holiday period, and notably, the Buyeo branch received commendations from a member of the National Assembly and the chairman of the Chungcheongnam-do Provincial Council under the name of ‘Development of Local Agriculture and Rural Convergence Industry,’ recognizing its contribution to opening sales channels for local farms.

Encouraged by this strong support, Lotte Outlet is launching the second ‘Lotlocal Market.’ First, sales of local specialties that allow customers to experience the freshness of production areas directly will be held at four Lotte Premium Outlet stores (Paju, Icheon, Gunsan, Buyeo) to continue opening sales channels for local farms. For example, until the 31st, Lotte Premium Outlet Icheon will hold a ‘Gift Set Exhibition for Family Month including Red Ginseng.’ Health foods made from 6-year-old red ginseng will be sold at discounts of up to 65%, including items such as ‘Red Ginseng Power Stick (30ml×30 packs, 38,000 KRW)’ and ‘Aquilaria Capsules (60 capsules, 99,000 KRW).’ At Lotte Outlet Buyeo, the ‘Chungnam Excellent Agricultural Products Direct from Production Area Exhibition’ will be held until the 30th of next month, offering representative products at discounts of up to 30%. Featured products include ‘Buyeo Goodtre Watermelon (8kg, 25,000 KRW)’ and ‘Gongju Okgwang Chestnuts (1kg, 13,000 KRW).’

This ‘Lotlocal Market’ also focuses on local friendliness by linking with regional festivals. The participating stores are three Lotte Premium Outlet branches (Gimhae, Buyeo, Jinju), which provide venues to hold local festivals at Lotte Outlet. For example, Lotte Premium Outlet Gimhae will host the ‘1st Gimhae Hanwoo Festival (23rd?26th)’ in a 1,000-pyeong (3,310㎡) space within the store. Various events such as ‘Hanwoo Tasting,’ ‘Surprise Auction of My Own Money Hanwoo,’ and ‘Singing Contest’ will transform the area around the Gimhae branch into a festival ground for Gimhae citizens. Jinju branch has prepared a space of about 400 pyeong (1,322㎡) for the ‘Jinju Craft Festival (17th?26th),’ where it will collaborate with Jinju city government offices to hold craft exhibitions and craft experience programs.

Im Seong-jin, head of the Lotte Outlet Operations Support Team, said, “This ‘Lotlocal Market’ was planned not only for holidays but also to coincide with local festivals and the season for fresh fruits to promote the development of local farms,” adding, “We will continue to strive to grow together with local communities and fulfill Lotte Outlet’s corporate social responsibility.”
