Pohang-Ulleung Office of the National Agricultural Products Quality Management Service Holds Government Building Completion Ceremony

"Pohang City and NAQS to Join Forces for Agricultural Development"

The Pohang-Ulleung Office of the National Agricultural Products Quality Management Service held a completion ceremony for its new building on the 16th, with over 200 participants including officials and heads of related organizations from Pohang City and Ulleung County, as well as local farmers.

On the 16th, about 200 agricultural workers, including related organization and association heads from Pohang City and Ulleung County, attended the completion ceremony of the National Agricultural Products Quality Management Service Pohang-Ulleung Office building.

Key attendees included Park Seongwoo, Director of the National Agricultural Products Quality Management Service; Jang Sanggil, Deputy Mayor of Pohang City; Jeong Kyungwon, Director of the Agricultural Technology Center; Lee Sangbeom, Chairman of the Economic and Industrial Committee of the Pohang City Council; Seo Seokyoung, Gyeongbuk Provincial Council Member; Lee Jinhyuk, Head of the Pohang Branch of the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation; local agricultural cooperative heads; and Seo Sangwook, Chairman of the Farmers' Association Council, along with other leaders of farmers' organizations. The event was held with a total of over 200 attendees.

The newly constructed office building sits on a 2,660-square-meter site with a building area of 691 square meters. It is equipped with a parking lot that can accommodate 35 vehicles simultaneously and features comfortable office spaces designed to provide a pleasant environment for visitors. Although the building has two floors, all facilities related to civil services are located on the first floor for the convenience and accessibility of visitors.

During the ceremony, Park Seongwoo, Director of the National Agricultural Products Quality Management Service, delivered a commemorative speech, urging, "We will meticulously and promptly implement local agricultural policies to contribute to the development of agriculture in the Pohang and Ulleung regions and to ensure the safe distribution of agricultural products and food."

Jang Sanggil, Deputy Mayor, stated in his congratulatory address, "With the construction of the new office, it is now possible to provide high-quality administrative services. I ask that Pohang City and the National Agricultural Products Quality Management Service work together to further strengthen the management of agriculture and the safety of agricultural product distribution in Pohang City."
